We are so excited about the work that will be doing in the next couple years. I have a passion to help young people and will do everything I can do help empower them.

Thanks for the support that’s made it all possible!

A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

About Us
Dare to Empower is a non-profit that was created for girls between the ages of 13-19. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and empower teens to be the greatest version of themselves.  We will sponsor various programs throughout the year, which aligns with our mission and goals. Our programs support the achievement of physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and economic success

Why is this important
Our founder Amanda Glover felt it was time to make a difference in the community after researching and mentoring at-risk teens. Low self-esteem is affecting our girls around the world and we have to help make a change.
According to DoSomething.org:

  • Over 70% of girls age 15 to 17 avoid normal daily activities, such as attending school, when they feel bad about their looks.
  •  75% of girls with low self-esteem reported engaging in negative activities like cutting, bullying, smoking, drinking, or disordered eating. This compares to 25% of girls with high self-esteem
  •  7 out 10 girls believe they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way including their looks, performance in school and relationships.

 Our Goal

Through Dare to Empower, we will help the girls improve grades and attitudes, start their own business, continue their education after high school and pay it forward.

We will continue to join forces with schools and other non-profits to empower the youth throughout the Atlanta Metro area.
